Chapter 29: Hurricane

After finding out she was pregnant, Ericka sat on a bench for a while. She wanted to figure out the best way to tell Zak about the pregnancy. She didn't want to sound unsure that the baby might not be his. She practiced her wording and expressions a little, and called him up. She told him to meet her at the Diner for some lunch together.

Zak arrived, right on cue. Now all Ericka needed to do was play it cool and sound convincing. She walked right up to him and told him that she was pregnant and they were going to be parents

Zak's eye's nearly bulged right out of his head. He's been wanting a baby and now his wish was finally coming true

Zak pulled Ericka in for a kiss and said that they were going to be the best parents, and this baby was going to be so loved

A few celebratory kisses later, Zak and Ericka made their way home to share the news with Bilinda and Brittney. Bilinda went through the roof. She wanted a grandchild and one was finally on it's way. Brittney was supportive, but she wasn't exactly enthused.

Bilinda then walked over to Ericka and felt her stomach. She couldn't wait to meet this baby

Zak went to the bookstore to buy himself and Ericka some baby books. When he came back home, he and Ericka were reading diligently.
Both Zak and Ericka finished their books at the same time. Before they would turn in for the night, Zak listened to Ericka's stomach. He was ecstatic to soon be a father

Zak had been at work all day. As soon as his shift ended, Zak rushed home. He doesn't want to miss a second of the pregnancy and wants to bond with the baby as much as he can before it's born. As soon as he parked his car, he sprinted all the way into the house to spend time with Ericka and the baby

Hours passed into the evening. As Zak and Ericka were watching TV together in their room, Ericka gets to be in extreme pain. She jumped off the bed and screams that she's in labor. Zak jumped up and screamed that they should go to the hospital, but Ericka persisted that she have a home birth

Several hours of labor later, and Ericka finally gave birth to a baby girl. Zak and Ericka decide to name the new girl Olivia

Zak picked up his daughter and held her close to him. He looked into her bright, new eyes and felt nothing but immense love and joy to finally have her in his arms

Zak called his mother into his room. He wanted her to meet Olivia. This was a joyous occasion, though Bilinda had to voice a concern to Zak. She said that she was out in the hot tub a few weeks ago and noticed a man was with Ericka. He was running off, so she didn't get a good look. At the time, Bilinda didn't think anything of it, but she felt that Ericka getting pregnant at around the same time that event happened was a bit too coincidental for her comfort. Bilinda hates to say it, but she thinks that Ericka may have had an affair. Looking at the baby, she's not 100% convinced that it's Zak's

Zak wasn't mad.....but he didn't think that his mother's concern could be legitimate. He and Ericka loved each other. There's no way this baby couldn't possibly be his.

The baby was getting tired, so Zak tucked her into her crib. Once he got  downstairs and into the kitchen, the phone began to ring. Zak answered the phone. On the other line was a woman whom he had never known before. She said her name was Gracie and she was yelling at Zak that Ericka was a homewrecker, and because of Ericka, she and her boyfriend had broken up when she had just learned that she was pregnant with their first child. Then the woman hung up. Zak stood there, completely bewildered

He never once thought that Ericka could ever stray on him. He also thought that they were very much in love with each other. This woman could by lying, just trying to start drama because she felt like it. But this, coupled with the fact that his own mother brought up the very same thing a few hours ago didn't sit well with Zak. He called Ericka downstairs for a chat.

As soon as she arrived, Zak went on the accusatory and demanded that she tell him the truth if she's had an affair, and if she knows who this Gracie woman is. He also demanded to know that if she did indeed have an affair, who she really thought Olivia belonged to

Ericka didn't take too kindly to these hurtful accusations. She was quick to defend herself and said she had no idea what he was talking about or how he got these ideas in his head

But Zak couldn't take her word for it this time. When Ericka left the house to go God knows where, he ran upstairs and took his precious Olivia from her crib. He made his way down to the hospital for a paternity test

Chapter 28: The Whore Who Hustles

Zak headed off for another day at work, and Ericka felt this was the opportune time to see Einstein some more

The two quickly became the best of woohoo buddies. They both got what they had wanted out of this. Ericka was in with a name that carried more weight than most and Einstein was never alone, which is something he's grown quite used to. Even though he's in a relationship, he and his girlfriend don't see too much of each other anymore

Soon after, Einstein had to leave. That left Ericka with Einstein's brother, Emanuel

Emanuel wasn't nearly as famous as Einstein was, but he still had relevance throughout the town. Ericka had no qualms of sleeping her way to the top of the social status quo, so she did what any desperate girl would do. She stripped down to revealing lingerie and convinced Emanuel to some woohoo

During all the fun, Ericka lost track of time. After the deed was done for the umpteenth time, Ericka got dressed and said she was going home for the night. Zak was due home any minute. Ericka asked Emanuel if he could spare some cash. Money didn't matter much to him, so he threw a handful at her. Great. Now she can say she cashed a paycheck. Does this make her a whore?

Meanwhile, Zak got off work. He had received yet another promotion. With this new promotion came a new uniform

Ericka had about 5 minutes to spare before Zak should walk through the door. This gave her some time to ogle the diamond on her finger

Soon, Zak walked through the door. Ericka's spirits were high, and decided to risky woohoo with Zak

A few hours later, Zak saw his mother had come home from work and he announced to her his promotion. Bilinda congratulates him and tells him how proud she is of the work he's doing. He's come a long way since his tumultuous teenage years

While watching TV with Brittney, Ericka gets nauseous. Not enough to vomit, but enough to make her realize something's up. Ericka believes it was the waffles she had over at the Alvi's house. They could hardly cook a thing. She must have food poisoning

Ericka had bought herself a laptop, which was for her private use only. Who knows what she does on there, but she sure does type......A LOT

The new day comes and Zak has the day off. Ericka decides to leave the house early while he's still sleeping. With the early hours he works, sleeping in has become a real treat for him.
Ericka thought it was a bit too early to head to the Alvi house and chooses to go to the park instead. Maybe she could meet some more high ranked people there.

Unfortunately, Ericka's stomach was feeling uneasy and she had to run to the nearest bathroom to vomit

In that very bathroom was where Ericka realizes that she doesn't have food poisoning, but she's pregnant

The thing that was now in her mind was, who's baby was she pregnant with?
The only time she had woohoo'd was yesterday, but she was three different men that day. Her guess was as good as anyones. Ericka decides not to see either Alvi brother until after the baby is delivered. She couldn't have the chance of either one of  them thinking it was their's. She's gonna tell Zak that it's his. For all she knows, it really is his baby. Ericka also decides to have a home birth. Having this baby in a hospital may somehow reach the Alvi brothers. She couldn't risk having the paternity questioned, or having her extra affairs be out in the open. Still....she'd like to know who's baby it is for sure.....

Chapter 27: Climbing

Zak's first shift ends in good news. He got a promotion the first day on the job. Needless to say, Zak was pretty excited to be getting a pay-raise and for getting one step closer to astronaut status

Zak found Ericka, in their room watching television. He announced to her his first promotion. Ericka's eyes widen. Kaching! More money in her pocket. Of course, she's smart enough not to say that out loud. Instead, she congratulates Zak on his promotion

Zak then tells her to get dressed up, because he's going to take her out to dinner to celebrate.
They enter the Bistro and had a very delicious meal. After dinner, Zak collected 9,000 dollars from the restaurant. Ericka logged this into her memory. She knew the Monahan's were very well off, but she didn't think that being a chef could possibly rake in that kind of money. They must own a business or two.

Outside, Zak was asking what Ericka's dreams and aspirations were in life. He politely tried suggesting a job to help her figure these things out. After all, he didn't plan on him and his family living with his mother for the rest of their lives, and they needed to start getting some income of their own instead of relying on Bilinda and Brittney. Zak had just started his job. He wasn't going to be rolling in the money just yet

Ericka agreed and said she'd try to look for a job soon, but no promises.

The next day, Zak was already at work. Ericka came up with the idea to claim that she had a "job" when in fact she didn't. She walked outside the the hot tub where Bilinda and Brittney were relaxing. Those two practically lived in the hot tub anymore. Anyway, Ericka said that she had landed a part time job and she had to go in for her first shift. They wished her luck, and Ericka was on her way.

Ericka couldn't help but laugh a bit driving into town. She had no job. Why should she work herself to the bone when she could live off of the Monahan estate?

Driving, she finally arrived to her destination. Einstein Alvi's house so she could pick up where they had left off at the party, and that's exactly what transpired

Ericka was making herself rather comfortable at Einstein's place. But she noticed the time. Zak would be coming home from work soon, so she kissed Einstein goodbye and said she'd come back later

Chapter 26: Whirl Away

Once Zak returned home from the library, he asked Ericka if she'd like to go to France for a late honeymoon

Ericka answered yes pretty quickly after he had asked. She really wanted to go to France. It seemed to be her style. They quickly were on their way to France.

When their feet touched French soil, Zak took Ericka to the Nectary. Though, they had arrived a bit too early, seeing as no one was even behind the register. Passing the time, Zak was browsing the Nectar racks while Ericka was introducing herself to the locals.

A clerk had finally showed up and Ericka bought the most expensive bottle of Nectar available. As soon as the Nectar made it's way into her hands, she poured some. She couldn't wait to taste it

Ericka made her way downstairs into the tasting area to sit and sip on her Nectar. While Zak was waiting for her to finish up, he heard a woman singing in French and thought she sounded beautiful

Being a guy who liked to try new things, he asked the woman if she wouldn't mind teaching him some French songs. Surprisingly enough, he didn't sound too bad

When Ericka finished her Nectar, Zak took her out to a Cafe to get something to eat. Yeah, you might be thinking that they'd get some fancy foreign French food, but they opt to get some hot wings. Hot wings....with forks

Soon, they went to some shops to buy some things for the family. One of the things that they had bought was a tent. Ericka was being rather frisky and decided she and Zak would woohoo in it

The shopping and woohooing was over, and they headed back to base camp. There, Zak asked if she'd be willing to start having a family with him

Ericka listened, and calmly said that she felt like they weren't ready for that step just yet. But it would happen for them one of these days

With that, Zak dropped the subject. He didn't want to pressure or smother Ericka with something as heavy as having a baby.

Day one was now over. Zak had looked at the map and realized that he and Ericka had seen and done everything that was exciting in France. He waited for Ericka to wake up and said that he thought it was about time that they'd head home. Ericka agreed, as the Nectary was the only thing she was interested in. The two packed their bags and traveled home.

Arriving home, Zak gave everyone their gifts. Bilinda got a fancy vase, Brittney got an incense burner and Minco and Nita got photography books for when they're older. Bilinda was curious about their trip and asked Ericka how it went. She said she enjoyed seeing the sites and indulging herself in a different culture

When Zak went upstairs, he realized that he had made it home just in time. Today was his first day on the job. He was a bit jet lagged, but he wouldn't show it. He was bound and determined to impress on his first day
